My name is Grace Becker and I am very involved inside and outside of Pres. At Pres I am an active member of the Dance Team, Prezettes, Peer Leaders, and National Honors Society. Outside of Pres I am a busy competitive dancer and member of The National Honors Society for Dance Arts. I love being a leader…which led me to SIP.
I am passionate about many things, but above all, I am most passionate about dance. I started taking dance classes when I was two years old and started training competitively at age five. I spend countless hours dancing at my studio and on the Pres Dance Team. When I was younger, my friends and I liked to make up dances, which gave me the opportunity to begin choreographing at a young age. I found that I love watching people dance with meaning and purpose behind their movement. I want to create dances with meaning.
My SIP project will consist of researching current issues in our world and choreographing dances about those issues. One of my goals is to have my dancers show meaning and passion through their dancing. Another goal of mine is for my choreography to make an impact on how people deal with real world issues. My end product will be a showcase of my research and choreography.
